| Preventive Care |
Downtime and inefficiency are your worst enemies. Let us diagnose and correct performance issues before they occur. With Accu-Sort’s Preventive Care program your system gets biannual checkups and certified statements of health. You can rest assured that your system is functioning as intended.
As part of preventive care, a site audit is conducted to maximize throughput by validating your system against your material handling goals. Upon completion, we will provide you with updated engineering specifications and a custom report detailing the audit findings.
Site Audit
The Accu-Sort technician will arrive on site with the Audit Kit, including Engineering Folders, PC laptop, eye loop, hand tachometer and digital camera.
The Technician will confirm Application Specifications in the Engineering Folder against the following:
- Bar Codes
- •Bar Code Symbologies, Specifications, Code Location, Print method, Color, and Quality
- •Material Handling Specifications
- •Sorter Type / Manufacture; Conveyor Specifications; Product Characteristics; Spacing, Justification, Transitions thru scan point
- •Explanations on errors; read rate/no-reads, duplicates (conflicts), and side by sides
- •Product Characteristics
- •Min/Max package sizes, Package descriptions; Use of Totes or Trays
- •Environmental Characteristics
- •Electrical; Power Sources and UPS’s; Working Temperatures; Lighting; Cleanliness of Scanners
- •Scan System Parameter Files
- •Confirm read, Read Conflict, No-Read; Confirm Bar Code Filtering; Confirm Interface to Host
- •Review Support Products
- •Confirm Site Spare Devices;
- •Confirm External Support Devices and Operation
- •Test Modems / VPN Connections
- •Engineering folder updates and Audit Reports
- •Upon completion of the service, provide the customer with updated engineering folders and custom report detailing the findings of the audit.
- •Report is to be reviewed by both the customer and Accu-Sort Systems.
- •Software backup of all devices and parameter sets.
