Accu-Sort® Bar Code/RFID System Installed at Office Furniture Manufacturer to Cut Cost
Accu-Sort Systems, Inc., announced today it has installed an integrated bar code and RFID tag reading and sortation system at the Knoll Manufacturing Inc. East Greenville, Pa., facility. Knoll is a leading manufacturer of office chairs, and this installation is expected to save the company indirect labor costs of $300,000 plus $200,000 in cost avoidance, because chairs are delivered directly to the shipping area rather than being staged in production for pick-up by forklift. The new system also allows Knoll to improve throughput and reduce shipping errors.

Accu-Sort® Package Dimensioner Receives US and CA Certification
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (May 24, 2007) – Accu-Sort® Systems announced today that its DM3500 Dimensioner has received new certifications for use in the U.S. and Canada. The U.S. NTEP (National Type Evaluation Program) and the Measurement Canada certifications approve the DM3500’s ability to make accurate dimension calculations at box flow rates up to 600 ft/min (183 m/min), more than 50 percent faster than competitive products. The DM3500 dimensioner has also received NTEP certification for non-singulated box flows to 300 ft/min (91.4 m/min), providing dimensioning capability for a variety of transportation and logistics applications.

Accu-Sort® AXIOM™ and AXIOM-X™ scanners improve baggage routing at Pittsburgh airport
Pittsburgh International Airport installed 8 baggage identification and sorting arrays using AXIOM™ linear laser scanners and AXIOM-X™ omnidirectional laser scanners. The Accu-Sort laser-scanning installation has improved read rate to more than 90 percent from 62 to 65 percent, drastically reducing manual handling of baggage, reducing labor costs and improving passenger satisfaction.

Accu-Sort® EZReader-HF™ RFID tag reader tunes itself to cut set-up time
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (January 8, 2007) – Accu-Sort Systems, Inc., announced today that it has introduced the EZReader-HF™ RFID tag reader that offers automatic tuning and easy set up, significantly reducing installation time. Upon start-up the EZReader-HF sets frequency and “match,” freeing the installer from performing these steps. In addition, both the EZReader-HF and its antenna store operating parameters for the current installation. Therefore, if either the reader or antenna needs to be replaced for any reason, the new component simply reads the set-up parameters from the installed device, eliminating the need to configure operating parameters, greatly reducing replacement time and cost.
