DPD found that poor-quality barcode labels were causing no-reads with the barcode system used for sortation in its facility in Neufahrn, Germany. In addition to more accurate scanning technology, DPD wanted a system that was highly redundant, with no single point of failure. Accu-Sort provided AXIOM-X laser barcode scanners that work in parallel with the old system to provide reliable backup. They also save labor hours by reducing the rate of unread parcels from 1.5 percent to 0.1 percent.
