Accu-Sort® Systems has developed FAST Label print and apply system, a complete solution of bar code scanners, positioning sensors, printer-applicators and Windows® software for automated bar code labeling, verification and package distribution processes. Typical applications include product content labeling, in-motion weight capture and labeling, order fulfillment labeling, product order price labeling, and carrier and vendor compliance labeling.
FAST Label print and apply system runs on a Windows® based PC and offers flexibility and ease of configuration for all print-and-apply parameters. User configuration capabilities include package tracking values, conveyor hardware interface setup, user security, product data tables, diagnostic information, and request generation. The package also includes integration with WYSIWYG label design software for customization and addition of up to 50 label formats. Automated object measurement is an optional feature.
Fast Label supports a variety of device configurations including multiple bar code scanners and printer-applicators. It also supports popular print engines such as Zebra®, Sato® and Datamax®. The FAST Label print and apply system can process up to 90 pieces per minute at conveyor speeds of up to 300 fpm. In-motion weighing and verification capabilities can be easily integrated into the system, which also supports batch labeling by key entry of product identification.
It can also be integrated with several other Accu-Sort automatic identification products, including FAST Sort, FAST View and FAST Comm for a fully automated manufacturing/distribution system. All applications in Accu-Sort's FAST Suite provide for seamless enterprise integration through a familiar and easy-to-use Windows® based interface.
The basic print and apply system (one print/apply line for applying one label per object) includes a PC system control module, inbound product identification bar code scanner, optional in-motion scale, label printer-applicator, outbound product verification bar code scanner, tracking control hardware, label design software and manual bar code scanning and processing station. Also offered are advanced systems for multiple print and apply lines, multiple printer-applicators per line to achieve higher package rates and multiple labels per object.
